IAM 1374 members grow the crystal seeds used to produce silicone ingots for Shell Solar Panels. The ingots are shipped to various non-union Shell Solar locations where they are made into photovoltaic wafers and assembled into solar panels. The production of crystal seeds is the only unionized portion of Shell Solar.
