The union-made Maytag washer and dryer are manufactured in Newton, Iowa, which is represented by United Auto Workers (UAW Local 997). The products are for residential and commercial use; in addition, the manufacturing plant is for dealers only. The products consist of Neptune front-loader washer, Dependable top-load washer, Atlantis dryer and all Neptune dryers. Appliances are for gas and electric usage, as well in stack models. For information only: non-union made Maytag dishwashers are manufactured in Tennessee. All Maytag appliances manufactured in Arkansas and South Carolina are non-union.
